Taxonomists, there is still time

Colleagues,

Still undecided about attending the conference in Boston June 14-16? Afraid you missed the chance to save money via the Early Bird registration deadline? Well, good news! SLA received several requests to extend that deadline, so the Early Bird rate is extended to midnight April 30.

Don’t miss this opportunity to mix and mingle with one another, and to learn about the best resources, products and services available in the profession.

Sessions include Taxonomy Tool Update; Use Your Taxonomy to Classify Images; SharePoint, Metadata, and Taxonomies; and Enhancing Intranet Search. Learn more about these sessions and others at the Online Planner.

Pre-conference educational programs include Heather Hedden’s Introduction to Taxonomy, and Marjorie Hlava’s Advanced Taxonomy Topics. There are still a few seats available in each of these all-day continuing education programs on Sat., June 13; but you would be wise to register for either one of them while you’re registering for the full conference. Check out all of the taxonomy-related programming here.

So, if you haven’t already signed up, take a moment and register today! Not a member of SLA? You can still join this professional association and take advantage of the Early Bird rate. Just register here. But hurry — the early bird registration closes for good at midnight, April 30.
